AT Home Moms & Dads: Exercise at Home with Child Awake..
I’ve heard it all the time, that moms and dads cannot exercise at home because their child is awake and won’t let them. We are all busy and time with our children is very important, but at the same time it’s very valuable for our children to see that exercise is an important part of our lives. Not that exercise must take a long time. But that it must be done and done with their child present so they can see and understand that this activity is that important to their mom or dad.
The first thing is to find the most effective workout that will really grab your attention day in and day out. Some of the most popular include P90x and Insanity. These workouts are top notch, will definitely get you results, and give you a calendar to follow, so you know exactly what to do. Get them now and I’ll be your coach!
Secondly, have a strategy to deal with a child who happens to be around when you do your exercise session. I do my exercise early in the morning, so normally, I am alone but not always. Sometimes, my child wakes up early and I still continue to exercise.
Tips to exercise with child present:
- Exercise with your child.
- Give food and drink in advance.
- Emphasize that this is mommy time and then it will be his/her time.
- Exercise hard, make it well worth it just in case you have to stop early.
